We always love searching for those rock pools and waterholes on a hot day and we sure did uncover some epic spots travelling Australia so below is our guide to help you find them and enjoy them as much as we did.

Above - Davis Creek Falls Mareeba, this waterfall/Rock pool was quite the impressive one we came across in north Queensland. With an epic drive to this spot make sure you put a whole day aside for exploring.
Below - little Crystal Creek Townsville, this spot i have been going to since i was a little girl as i am from Townsville so it was awesome to come here and be able to enjoy it with family again and get some shots while we were here.

Above - Noosa Fairy Pools Sunshine Coast, is one of the most popular rock pools in Queensland with tons of photos flooding social media. Make sure you check tide times before heading there and be ready for a lengthy walk through the national Park.
Below - Black down Tablelands Blackwater, A rock pool we didn't even know about at the start of our trip but as soon as I seen it we made sure to stop on our way home a year later. Make sure you read wiki camps comments to find this beauty as its quite a hidden gem.

Above - Elliott Heads Beach Queensland, this was one rock pool i wanted to find after seeing our favs @aswewander visit here and i just had to see this giant shoe print rock pool for myself. Yep it Impressed!
Below - Whalers Way South Australia, this spot was high on our list and to visit here you have to drop into the info centre and grab a key for the private Property ($50 Bond) make sure you leave a whole day to explore this coastline.

Above - Whalers Way South Australia, this is just another perspective of the same rock pool from above, it had to of been one of the most impressive rock pools we have seen but it does require you to climb down a metal ladder and rock hop a little.
Below - Tahlia Caves Rock pools South Australia, these rock pools are quite hidden and if you don't turn right at Tahlia caves and walk all the way around at Low tide you won't find them. You will know your on the right track when we see smaller versions of these on the way.

Above - Greenly Beach Rock pool South Australia, this one was i think the largest rock pools we have seen and it had so many tiny starfish it was amazing.
Below - Injidup Spa Western Australia, Like everyone else this was on our bucket list forever and we definitely were not disappointed. We came at the right time too with only another couple around so we pretty much had it to ourselves.

Above - Little Blue Lake South Australia, so I know your going to say this isn't a rock pool but its a rock with Water in it LOL. it was one of the prettiest blue holes we have seen so it is worth a look.
Below - Bay of Fires Tasmania, you would think Tasmania is not the best place for swimming but on a super hot day these rock pools make for great floating and chilling.

Above - Sloop Reef Bay Of Fire Tasmania , this is one of the coldest and deepest rock pools we came across and didn't even care it was freezing outside we just jumped in, so much fun and only a short drive from cosy corner campground.
Below - Hamersley Pool Karijini Western Australia, This one is one you think is it Instagram vs Reality ? or is it real? nope it's this amazing in person and well worth the rough drive in. Be aware it is a grade 5 hike to it with lots of climbing so if you have little ones be prepared.

Above - Rock pool Barn Hill Station Western Australia, this one we stumbled across on a walk on the beach and boy I was glad Because I was not swimming in the ocean at the front because I was too nervous about crocs!
We hope this has given you a few spots to go and explore and add to your list!
As always Travel Safe and Enjoy xx
