Tiny Charlie Hosted by In2theWild - Come with us on our weekend away!

Driving from Gold Coast North - West roughly about 2 hours and 45 minutes you will be greeted with your own Tiny Home on a Hill overlooking the Valley in Toowoomba.
When you book your little stay with In2theWild you will receive your little email package 48 HOURS before your stay with everything that there is to do and see along with what to bring when you arrive at your very own tiny home. All you have to pack is Clothes, Food and drinks! We on the other hand packed a few extra things, because as you know i love to overpack!
Below is what we packed for our weekend away:
Clothes - ensure you always take a jacket or jeans as it can get cold quite quickly especially if it rains.
Food - think of how many dinners/lunches and Breakfast you will have on your stay. The tiny home only has a small fridge so be mindful of that. Also Snacks are great that you can just leave them in your car.
Drinks - We took some wine and Beer/Milk and water - There was two tiny little cartons of milk enough for a coffee each morning supplied.
Hammock - because you never know when you will need one
Books - to relax and really enjoy your time hanging out in your Tiny Home
Bathroom Supplies - Body Wash, Facewash, Toothbrush and Hairbrush - The Tiny Home comes with Body Wash, Shampoo and Conditioner just depends what you like to use.
Small SPACE = Small FOOTPRINT
Once we arrived to Tiny Charlie we were blown away with the amazing Views we were going to get all weekend! We had no contact with anyone in this process, only followed directions that were in our email package and all of a sudden we were on our own little hill with our own Tiny home for 48 Hours!
We arrived at around 3:30pm on the Friday and we had the best weather, no wind beautiful lighting and it was just a dream really to have this slice of paradise to ourselves, especially with fighting crowds most of the time now when going away this was a great change. We bought some wood to have a fire, although you can request it upon booking for a fee and I believe it will be left there for you ready to go.
Kurt Started the fire after we checked out every nook and Cranny of the Tiny home and we just sat around and looked at the amazing view that was in front of us along with an awesome sunset. Still no one in sight or no noise apart from the cows and birdlife!!! HEAVEN!

Just look at that View! Everytime we walked into Tiny Charlie we would go 'OOOHHH' at the view through the massive floor to ceiling window!
If you are wondering how many can stay in Tiny Charlie, there is 1 x Queen Side Bed plus a loft Double Bed for an extra person you would like to bring along. We also said to each other that if you have a baby you can definitely have a portacot in Tiny Charlie.
Once we stopped looking at the view we cooked Dinner over the Fire, Maple and Bacon Sausages along with a salad, all utensils, plates cups and Cutlery are all stocked in Tiny Charlie for you to use along with so many other kitchen items to cook up a storm.
To end the night we watched the sun go down had a drink or two and ventured inside to have a hot Shower and cosy up in bed! it was quite warm the first night we stayed and it was so awesome to be able to have the fan on all whilst this tiny home is run off solar and gas.
What a way to wake up, you don't even have to get out of bed and you can watch the sun come up over the valley! First thing is first.... Coffee!! We knew the Tiny home supplied coffee so I was excited to pop the kettle on and try our complimentary Drip Coffee.
Once the coffee was ready we were back in bed sitting and watching the wildlife outside (Rabbits, Kangaroo's and Cows) it felt so surreal to have this whole piece of land to ourselves and have made no contact with anyone whilst staying here all weekend, it was awesome!
Now we have had our coffee we can operate properly and go off and explore some of the surrounds, i had so much planned for our stay because we had never explored this area before and since being back from travelling for the full year i really was craving an adventure. Below are the area's and things I had planned for our second day staying at Tiny Charlie.
East Toowoomba Farmers Markets - Check Website to check when they are on
Japanese Gardens - Toowoomba
Pechey Distillery - Pechey - they were shut this day as they were at the markets
Crows Nest Historical Village
Crows Nest Soft Drink Boutique
Rosalie House and Cellar Door - Dinner Date
We Jam packed all of the above in apart from Dinner before Lunch time which we had always planned to go back by Lunchtime and just relax for the rest of the day but we were actually forced to with a storm approaching and boy I'm glad it did!
We sat inside for 5 hours laying in bed reading books, playing board games having a cheese platter and just chatting about all the places we have planned to go while it just rained and thundered outside. We were ultra relaxed by the time we had to get ready for Dinner.

Rosalie House - Dinner was amazing, they have a Banquet Style Menu if you would like the chef to choose for you or you can order off the menu as normal. They had a little band in the vineyard playing cool tunes and the Fairy Lights just made it feel like a magical dinner date. We will definitely go back to Rosalie House next time we are in the area.
Such a different experience driving home from dinner to what it is on the gold coast. No other cars around just the country roads where you just have to watch out for wildlife! My kind of drive home, and not to just any home but to a Tiny home on top of a Hill.
You don't need more space, you need less stuff
One more Morning of waking up to a sunrise ( not so much as it was raining) but still perfect and cosy, we were sad to be leaving! The one thing you are asked when you stay at these amazing little off the grid Tiny Homes is that you leave them the way you found them! So it was time to wash our dishes, make the bed, sweep the floor, tidy up and take our rubbish with us. We said goodbye to Tiny charlie and took one last look at the view and off we went on our Long drive home.
We had planned to cook breakfast on our last morning but we were feeling way too relaxed to do anything so we decided it was a better to go to a small town and see if a cafe was open and support the town instead.
We drove to Goombungee a little town close to where we were staying and found a little Antique cafe that suited the weather being cosy and cute! Well I can officially say I had the best omelette ever and the owners were so lovely and it was just your old fashioned country town cafe which we loved, so glad we decided to stop and have breakfast! if you are in the area make sure you stop in and have a feed.
What a weekend!! It was exactly what we needed after finally settling down in a home again and what better way to do it then by getting back off grid in a Tiny Home which we all know is my dream home to live in. It exceeded our expectations and we cannot wait to visit another Tiny home maybe in another state one day again?
We hope you enjoyed following along on our weekend away and if you have enjoyed this blog it would mean so much if you can give it a like and leave a comment!!
Once again thank you all for you support and following along our journey and adventures xx
