CAMERA GEAR

SONY a7 MARK iii CAMERA
We upgraded to this camera only a few Months ago however have always used Sony even on our Lap of Australia. The camera we used before was the Sony A6000 which Ill pop some details below as it's a great beginners camera. So far the quality of this camera is insane, The high performance sensor along with the rapid Auto Focus is definitely a step up from the A6000. My favourite feature is the Continuous shooting along with built-in interval shooting and time lapse where as before I had to purchase an in house app. Overall I give this camera a 9/10 Stars!

DJI MAVIC AIR S2 DRONE
DJI are seriously one of the top leaders in drones and you can really see why when you operate one of these babies. We only recently upgraded to the Mavic Air S2 as we had been running the Mavic Pro for two years prior which I will write about below. So far this Drone has everything I have wanted in a drone even comes with ND filters which was a struggle before to find some for my previous drone. it runs 5.4k Video, 20 MP camera size, Flight time is 30 Mins each battery so x by 3 as you get 2 more in the pack and it only weight 595 grams plus so many more features! So far this drone has got 9/10 stars from me!

SONY a6000 CAMERA
This was our first ever good camera! I remember thinking it was such a big deal to spend $900 on a camera, however i was wanting good shots on our trip. This guy did not disappoint, its easy to use, light and you can bluetooth your photos straight to your phone to view and edit straight away. This camera is perfect for anyone starting out and wanting to get the feel of using a camera for the first time and to be honest you can just change up your lenses and the body is still such a great qaulity shot. I give this camera a 7/10 Stars!

DJI MAVIC PRO PLATNIUM DRONE
We can't say this was our first ever Drone as we started out with the beginner drone The DJI Spark, so this was a massive upgrade for us especially in price ($1899) for the Flymore Combo which we always purchase when we purchase our drones as it comes with all the extras you need. This drone did wonders on our trip around Australia and took some of the most epic picture and video so we can't say we upgraded because we didn't like it, we upgraded purley for extra Specs but we still loved everything about this drone which i believe DJI don't make this model anymore? I gave this drone a 8/10 Stars!

Lenses
Sony FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6
Sony Zoom 55-200mm f/4.0-5.6
Sigma 30mm f1.4 DC
This lense is a great all rounder and one that I go to all the time it gives a great crisp clear shot and definitely budget friendly
This lense is what i use a lot to shoot wildlife as it can get really close without me having to be really close and respecting their space! I love this lense and is also very budget friendly
This lense was our first ever prime lense and I love it , especially giving those close up shots with bringing the background forward.I was quite hesitant in purchasing other brand lenses however have found Sigma to be great.
Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 Sony
Ok so this lense I have not actually used as of yet and it is currently on back order but ill update you on how this brand is. I can't say this one is budget friendly as it is well over $1k but i am hoping it worth it for a wide angle lense.

Gopro Hero 10 - We use our Gopro for all our Water shots and any type of activity where it isn't safe for our camera to come along. On our Trip we had a Gopro Hero 7 which did the job and got all of our awesome underwater shots, however we have recently upgraded to the 10 and so far are loving the front screen and the hypersmooth action!
Gopro Suction Mount - We use this mount to mount the Gopro to the car, caravan, or any surface it will suction to get those shots. We would mount it on the caravan and set it timelapse to get those epic Sunsets in WA and you can literally walk away and leave it!
Gopro 3 in 1 Handle/ Tripod - We purchased this accessory when we got our first Gopro and its fantastic, great for Selfies, it has a built in tripod that you can also use and the quality of it is great! it is definitely our number 1 accessory for our gopro equipment.
Gopro Floating Handle - This accessory is pretty self explanatory with it being floating. So this is the handle we use when we are in the water with our Gopro, simply for the fact that you will not lose your Gopro if you have this handle on as it floats! it has a lanyard as well which you can attach to your wrist for extra security.
DJI Osmo 4 Phone Gimbal - This Accessory is probably one that we should have used more than what we did on our trip, the only reason we didn't as it was just another thing to carry around however when you do use it, its great! it has a tracking motion to follow you as you move and also is hyper smooth so you can get those professional looking videos. This is a great option if you cannot afford the Ronan gimbal.
Manfrotto Universal Phone Clamp for tripod- This is a newbie to our setup and i'm kicking myself i didn't have this on our trip. This device holds your phone whilst attaching it to your tripod so you can create videos and timer photos just using your phone handsfree. This device saves you having to carry around a whole other tripod for a phone which is what i was initially going to buy until I found this.
Inca Camera Tripod - We have only ever had this tripod since we started taking photos, its great and has always done the job however we are on the search for a smaller lighter tripod that isn't $$$. I think this tripod is definitely a great budget option for anyone starting out.
Zecti Camera Bag with Inserts - This camera bag changed my life! Dramatic I know, but the one thing I dreaded when going on adventures and hikes was carry numerous bags with the camera gear all in different spots. As soon as this bag arrived and we packed everything in it we were so relieved and it served us well on our trip. it even comes with a Waterproof Cover.
Macbook Air 13" Laptop - What i am currently writing this blog on right now. it has been great on our trip, great for editing photos and storing and transferring photos. if we were to upgrade we definitely would get a big screen but other than that this computer ahs been great and not sure if you have realised yet that we are Apple lovers of everything. We have been Samsung before but we keep going back to Apple.
Apple Iphone 11 256GB - I'm usually a person who likes to upgrade every 2 years or so, which right now i have been tossing up whether to upgrade now or wait until a 14 comes out which is probably going to be this year. I love my phone i do quick edits on it, save instagram captions and have all my fav apps which I will be doing a seperate blog on when I discuss editing and any other apps related to creating.
Seagate 2T Hard drive- There isn't really much to say on Hard Drives other than this one seems to be good quality, I did a lot of research in regards to Hard Drives hearing a lot of horror stories of them failing and completely breaking but this one had good reviews and does what I need to.
Lacie Mini Rugged 2T Hard Drive- This has pretty much got what the other hard drive has on it so it's more of a backup of a back up but because its heavy duty and has amazing reviews this is just another option for you to choose.
Sandisk 64GB SD Card for Drone - This SD card is what we use for our drone and I have two of them just encase. I have never filled these cards as I always back up the photos on my hard drive and Computer probably every fortnight as you never know what could happen! Like your drone falling out of the sky!
Sandisk 128GB SD Card for Camera - This SD card is what we use for our Camera and I have three of them just encase. I have filled these cards before only due to just doing interval shots which can be a fair few but i then go through all the shots before transferring onto the Hard drives and delete what I don't want. I always get anxiety clearing SD cards its so hard for me to let go LOL.
Belkin Power Bank 20000mah - I was so glad when we got this on our trip, it saved me so many times when I needed to charge my phone to fly my drone or take videos or because we needed directions in the middle nowhere and my phone was about to die. it really is something you should have in your camera bag ready to go.

We really Hope this has helped in some way decide what you are after for either taking off on that trip of a lifetime or just starting out with weekends away and slowly getting into Photography. All I can say is that before I started experimenting with photography I believed that it was a complete waste of money for all this equipment however I now take it all back!
